Salary: This is 12-month, full-time, 232-day position with a minimum salary of $83,500.00 ($359.91 per day)

Primary Purpose of the position:

Provide coordination, program support and develop services to enhance the TEKS Resource System, TExGuides, GT and STEM. Supervise administration of the effective and efficient operation of the TEKS Resource System, TExGuides, GT and STEM while serving districts in Region 13.

Minimum Certification/Education:
  • Master's degree in administration or equivalent
  • Texas Teaching Certificate (valid)
  • Training in TEKS RS and TExGuides
  • Training in STEM education
  • Training in GT
Minimum Experience:
  • Experience in campus or district level leadership
  • Five (5) years' work-related experience, at least two (2) years involvement with the TEKS Resource System
  • Extensive knowledge of TExGuides
  • Teaching experience preferred (minimum 5 years)
  • Demonstrated experience in curricular design and instructional support
Special Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of systematic planning and budgeting strategies
  • Knowledge of current Federal/State mandates and laws
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Negotiation skills
  • Managing multiple self-directed projects
Major (Essential) Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  2. Facilitate collaborative efforts among ESC Region 13 staff, clients, TEA and other ESCs in the development, implementation and coordination of the TEKS Resource System including the TEKS, STAAR, and curriculum
  3. Facilitate collaborative efforts among ESC Region 13 staff, clients and other ESC's in the development, implementation and coordination of the TExGuides
  4. Facilitate collaborative efforts among ESC Region 13 staff, clients and other ESC's in the development, implementation and coordination of GT and STEM,
  5. Collaborate and actively participate with ESC Region 13 teams to improve student performance and to meet the established goals and objectives of ESC Region 13
  6. Oversee the collaboration and participation from staff with districts in purchasing the TEKS Resource System and TExGuides and provide professional development
  7. Collaborate and create new initiatives based on Region 13 Strategic Planning
  8. Facilitate the implementation of Region 13 board policy and procedures
  9. Communicate to direct supervisor regarding the development, management, and evaluation of program plans and budgets for assigned projects
  10. Collaborate with staff members to ensure well-articulated and coordinated services across all districts within Region 13, with particular emphasis on TEKS Resource System, TExGuides, GT and STEM
  11. Collaborate with assigned staff in Curriculum and Instruction
  12. Monitor the development and operations of all assigned programs
  13. Manage, and evaluate program plans and budgets for assigned projects
  14. Evaluate and maintain the management of center e-campus offerings in assigned areas using appropriate data collections and analysis procedures
  15. Provide supervision to any assigned staff and evaluate such staff.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned

Computer and peripherals, audio/visual equipment, photocopier, scanner, digital camera

Physical Demands:
  • Light lifting and carrying (up to 20 pounds)
  • Frequent travel in and out of ESC Region 13
