Salary: This is a 12-month, full-time, 232 day position with a minimum salary of $59,457 ($256.28 per day).


Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to provide current users of the TEKS Resource System professional development of all documents, assessment items and resources based on district needs. Recruit new TEKS Resource System districts with basic knowledge, pricing, onboarding and technical set-up information. Work collaboratively with other ESC Specialists regarding the TEKS Resource System.


Education/Certification:
  • Texas Teacher Certification
  • Two (2) years using TEKS Resource System experience - required
  • Three (3) years of classroom teaching experience
  • Master's degree in Education-related field - preferred

Experience:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at the campus or district level, such as curriculum development, facilitation of professional development, coaching, mentoring, or professional learning communities
  • K-12 teaching experience - preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum, including:
    • TEKS Resource System experience
    • Development of curriculum-aligned instructional resources
    • Alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment

  • Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity
  • Development and delivery of engaging professional development within face-to-face and virtual contexts
  • Development and delivery of instructional resources, products, and services
  • Technology, including Google Drive (e.g., docs, forms, sheets, team drive)
  • Curriculum trends, instruction, technology, assessment, and school systems, federal and state mandates
  • Manage priorities to complete work in a timely fashion
  • Work well in team and self-directed contexts
  • Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a representative of the Center, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Understand and meet ESC Region 13 clients' needs in the areas of Curriculum
  • Effectively communicate and build positive relationships with ESC Region 13 clients
  • Effectively and efficiently develop and deliver engaging and meaningful professional development for ESC Region 13 clients
  • Effectively and efficiently innovate, develop, and deliver products and services that positively affect student learning
  • Understand and use ESC Region 13 internal systems
  • Maintain emotional control in stressful situations
  • Work with other Leadership Team members collaboratively and attend Leadership Team meetings and all conferences related to TEKS Resource System
  • Work directly with TEKS Resource System technology provider for district access, calculate pricing and monitor commitment forms
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Equipment Used:
  • Equipment includes computer, peripherals, and related software, listserv technology, and printer

Working Conditions:
  • Extensive reading and writing
  • Frequent travel within and beyond ESC Region 13
  • Prolonged or irregular hours
  • Light lifting and carrying (up to 20 pounds)
  • Hearing, speaking, visual acuity
