REPORTS TO: Project Coordinator: Educator Evaluation and Leadership
SALARY: This is a full-time twelve month position at 232 working days. The minimum annual salary is. $32,759

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position provides administrative, technical, and logistical support for all aspects of the TTESS Portal, T-PESS website, and AEL website, under the supervision of the Project Coordinator. The technical support/ customer service employee will serve as a member of the web-based technology support team, as well as, provide expertise to specific focus areas (i.e.-Web-based tools and hotline support, and other special projects), including the development of resources for websites and all related documents, products, and services provided to teachers and administrators across the state. Frequent contact with all levels of center employees, school districts, charter schools, outside agencies and the general public.

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION:
  • GED/HS Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Strong customer service and/or hospitality skills
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Superior customer service skills via phone, email and chat
  • Mastery of computer-based technology (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer support software.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to take on additional tasks
  • Support for appropriate educator evaluation systems for educators
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office software

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Mastery of using Customer support software (e.g. Zendesk, Help Scout, Zoho Desk, Fresh Desk)
  • Mastery of computer-based technology (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to take on additional tasks
  • Preferred experience in self-directed tasks and teamwork
  • Experience in managing and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in managing and organizing multiple projects

MAJOR (ESSENTIAL) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Provide administrative and technical support for the Teach for Texas, T-PESS, and AEL websites
  • Maintain and update necessary documents/files-both hard copy and electronic
  • Collaborate with other Team members and internal/external clients for quality service and products of the EEL collection of TEA websites
  • Provide a pleasant and courteous method of answering phone calls/directing to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of oral, written and electronic information
  • Communicate and work effectively as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and use ESC Region 13 internal systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Computer, peripherals, and related software, printer, photocopier, other equipment such as: Clickers, iPods/iPads, Chrome books
