Reports To: Sr. Coordinator: Statewide School Improvement Strategic Initiatives

Salary: This is a full-time 12 month position at 232 days with an annual starting salary of $37,500.

Primary Purpose: Provide administrative support to the Statewide School Improvement Initiatives team.

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in similar position
  • Experience in managing and organizing multiple projects
  • Proficient skills in typing, application software (word processing, presentation software, spreadsheet, database) desktop publishing processes, hard copy and electronic file maintenance, Outlook, Google Docs
  • Ability to organize workflow for department functions (purchase requisitions, records management, scheduling, travel arrangements)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Preferred experience in finance and budget monitoring
  • Experience in managing and meeting deadlines
  • Preferred experience in self-directed tasks and teamwork
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to disseminate information in a clear and concise manner to internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Advanced customer service skills

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion with all other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Complete clerical duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with Coordinators and Program Assistants to serve the internal and external clients associated with this position and to accomplish the goals of the ESC, Region 13
  • Maintain various systems of organization and record keeping throughout the cycle of each program supporting
  • Monitor budget and support team with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Prepare for workshops, conferences, and convenings through scheduling, document preparation, and participant records in local workshop system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
