Salary:
This is a full-time twelve (12) month position at 232 days with a minimum annual salary of $60,000 ($258.62/day). Grant funded position through 6-30-2023.

Primary Purpose:This position aims to establish, expand, train, and sustain the public health workforce. More specifically this employee will support region and LEA Covid-19 prevention, preparedness, response and recovery initiatives; this includes school based health programs, specifically nurse and other personnel.

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor of Science- Nursing (BSN) (required)
  • Master of Science- (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Preferred
  • Community health experience

Experience:
  • Five years minimal school health experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of working with state and local health agencies

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Actively and independently seek professional growth opportunities

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community
  • Understand and meet ESC Region 13 client needs in the areas of school health and community health
  • Communicate with ESC Region 13 clients in the area of school and community health
  • Deliver ESC Region 13 products and services in the area of school and community health
  • Understand and use ESC Region 13 internal systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Telephone, fax, copier, computer and peripherals, other equipment as requirements change
Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged or irregular work hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently in and out of ESC Region 13

We are an 7am-6pm organization with an 8 hour work day within that timeframe, but we honor a healthy work-life balance. As workload fluctuates, you have the opportunity to take flex days to accommodate that balance.
