Salary: This is full-time twelve month position at 232 days within the fiscal year. The minimum annual salary is $62,997.

Primary Purpose:
  • Provide technical assistance and training to ESC Region 13 clients to improve the efficiency of school operations through district use of a student information system and applications
  • Assist clients in the TSDS and PEIMS process utilizing the student information system management system

Education/Certification:
  • 5 years of experience with student accounting and a student information system
  • Professional license or certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:
  • Experience with school district student process and procedures
  • Experience with a student information system to include scheduling, grade reporting, attendance, gradebook and parent access
  • Experience in providing technical training, support and assistance in an educational setting is preferred
  • Experience with TEASE, TEAL, TSDS, PEIMS, TIMS, UID and TEDS
  • Experience with Student Attendance Accounting Handbook
  • Experience in self-directed work and a teamwork environments

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of trends, processes and procedures in school administration
  • Ability to interpret state/federal laws and regulations specific to student accounting
  • Knowledge of current technology
  • Results oriented with strict attention to detail
  • High level of self-motivation with a strong desire to solve problems and multi-task with priority
  • Ability to successfully market various software applications to current and potential clients
  • Ability to prioritize, process multiple tasks, and respond to unanticipated crises
  • Ability to apply logical analysis to identify and resolve unexpected problems

  • Ability to learn new technologies in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and ODBC compliant software

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Provide technical assistance, support and training to ESC Region 13 clients utilizing a student information system
  • Conduct professional development activities to ensure understanding of the student information system, third party software, DART, and system communications.
  • Provide audit/review of students records for districts and charter schools to include attendance and grades
  • Develop and compose appropriate level technical/training documentation
  • Develop techniques to design, implement, and test program enhancements and new software applications
  • Assist and advise in development of procedures regarding the student information system
  • Conduct product awareness session for current and prospective clients
  • Participate in and contribute to systems development/enhancements of the student information system
  • Ensure that clients meet the ESC 13 and TEA PEIMS submission timelines
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and team members
  • Preform other duties as assigned
