Reports To: TEKS Resource System Science Coordinator and Science Specialist
Salary: Travel Expenses for face-to-face meetings (possible opportunity for paid contract work)
Primary Purpose: Collaborate withTEKS Resource System science development team to inform the refinement of Anatomy & Physiology curriculum and assessment by providing constructive feedback and sharing ideas for ongoing development and resources, and develop networking relationships with others throughout the state.

- Bachelor's degree in Education (required)
- Anatomy & Physiology classroom teaching experience (required)
- Experience with curriculum design/writing (preferred)
- Familiarity with TEKS Resource System curriculum components (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
- Comprehensive and specific course knowledge (e.g., pedagogy, reading levels, appropriate assessments, etc.)
- Exceptionally strong command of the English language including conventions of grammar and mechanics with strong revising and editing skills
- Knowledge of applicable copyright and fair use regulations for educational products
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (required) and other online technologies such as OneDrive and Google Drive (preferred)
- Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
- Collaborate and clearly communicate ideas for the refinement of Anatomy & Physiology curriculum and assessment, including development efforts, areas of concern, and potential solutions to the science development team.
- Provide constructive feedback with integrity and professionalism
- Attend, as necessary, all meetings/trainings which may be delivered in-person, online/video, and/or by phone (face-to-face meeting June 18, 2019 at Region 13 Austin, TX, and five virtual meetings throughout the school year)
- Work productively in a virtual environment with reliance on video conferencing, email, and phone as primary forms of communication
- Computer with speaker and microphone (or a headset with microphone)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable internet connection
- Software for virtual meeting capabilities
Physical Demands:
- Periodic overnight travel may be required to ESC Region 13 in Austin, TX
- Hearing, speaking, and visual acuity
- Maintain emotional control
- Ability to sit at a desk and/or work on computer for prolonged periods
