Workshop info

Instructional time for curriculum is often lost to dealing with challenging behavior in the classroom. In this workshop, we will learn to describe behaviors in measurable and observable terms, learn about the functions of all behavior and how to find function-based behavioral interventions that are appropriate and most effective. We will practice collecting frequency, interval, and duration data as well as data focusing on the antecedents and consequences of behaviors.

Participants will learn evidence-based practices that are based in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that teachers can use in the classroom with their students. Anyone attending this workshop is encouraged to share any challenging behaviors they have experienced or are currently experiencing because we will use those examples as scenarios in which to teach the principles. The presenter will also share their own experiences. Let's reduce some challenging behavior so that more time can be spent on instruction of the curriculum!
