Calling all special educators, paraprofessionals, and general education teachers!
Whether you are new to working and supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities or complex access needs, or you are a veteran who would like a refresher on current best practices - this workshop is for you!
This is a one full-day workshop designed to provide practical and meaningful tips and strategies for everyday use to create and strengthen collaborative relationships between individuals supporting low-incidence populations.
This workshop will occur in a blended model, which will include an in-person delivery method that will be live streamed and available for access in real-time through a video conferencing platform.
This session on Creating Effective Teams will include strategies on the following team dynamics:
- The Special Education Teacher and the Paraprofessional Team
- The Special Education and the General Education Team
- The Special Education and the Family Team
Optional coaching is available to participants whose instructional location is within the Region 13 boundary. Follow-up coaching through either an in-person or virtual platform will allow participants to gain a deeper dive experience and receive feedback and support on the implementation of covered content.
This workshop focuses on Quality Indicator II: Effective Teams T-TESS Dimensions: 1.2, 1.3, 3.1, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 from the Texas Complex Access Network (TX CAN) Rubric of Effective Practices.
