This blended, hybrid training will include in-person and online meetings along with a Canvas mini-course focused on Federal Grants - Program and Finance Management. This course includes a book study of Federal Education Grants Management: What Administrators Need to Know by L. M. Manasevit, T. W. Kesslar, and S. A. Spillan of Brustein & Manasevit from LRP Publications along with custom developed content and guest speakers for each mini-series.
As part of the Canvas mini-course, participants are provided with a pacing guide, special resources, and interactive assignments related to each chapter plus an archive of the meeting presentation.

We will conduct these deep-dive working sessions along with our guest facilitator, Rebecca Estrada, from TASBO. She regularly presents throughout the state on both finance and ESSER topics and has also served as a facilitator for the ESC Region 13 principal and superintendent certification programs. The custom content for these meetings will be interactive and co-developed to contain the latest, up-to-date information from TEA plus other TASBO courses combined to target the topics listed.
Who should attend from your LEA:
We recommend you have a team attendance of the key stakeholders involved in the financial and grant management requirements.
