Federalism, the Bill of Rights, Popular Sovereignty...The Constitution is full of tough ideas and vocabulary! Learn how to break down the most challenging elements of the Constitution so that students can begin to solidify their understanding and make connections to historical events and modern times.

In this workshop we will:

  • Identify the challenges students experience when learning the constitution
  • Explore instructional strategies to promote interest and dialogue around the constitution
  • Learn ways to incorporate FRQ’s to support students when they make connections between the constitution and their daily lives
  • Discuss formative assessment strategies to progress monitor student learning
