With topics like cyber safety, emergency responses, and school safety policy, we have something for everyone! But because safety is obviously important to us, we've decided to move it all online.
Best of all, attendance is FREE this year. Just be sure to register for all the days you will participate.

Dr. Julie Albright
Author of Left to Their Own Devices: How Digital Natives Are Reshaping the American Dream
Dr. Julie Albright is a digital sociologist, author, and keynote speaker who explores the ways digital natives’ interaction with technology has reshaped the structure of society. She has given talks for major data center and energy conferences including SAP for Utilities, IBM Global, Data Center Dynamics and the Dept. of Defense. Julie is also an award-winning professor in the Depts. of Applied Psychology and the Electrical Engineering at USC.
Jordan Loyd
FBI Supervisory Special Agent
FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jordan Loyd is based in Austin, Texas where he supervises a team of investigators, computer forensic examiners, and others who conduct investigations into computer intrusions with a criminal and national security focus. SSA Loyd previously worked in Iowa, New York, Virginia and Bulgaria investigating computer intrusions for the FBI. He has been with the FBI since 2009 and was a network administrator for six years prior to joining the FBI. SSA Loyd is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Rusty Norman
President of the Santa Fe ISD Board of Trustees
Rusty Norman retired after a 43 year career in the petrochemical industry and has been a Santa Fe ISD board member for 14 years. He will be speaking about resilience and recovery following the 2018 Santa Fe High School tragedy.
Art Hushen
President/Owner NICP, Inc. - CPTED Instructor
Art Hushen is the President/Owner of the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP, Inc.), a global training and consulting company specializing in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Art implements CPTED concepts and strategies at a national level through training programs and consulting with various government, private sector, and nonprofit groups. Through the creation of the CPTED Professional Designation (CPD) Program the NICP has set a standard for professional recognition for CPTED practitioners. https://www.cptedtraining.net/
Lucas Anderson
Privacy and Cyber Risk Consultant - TASB Risk Management Fund
Lucas Anderson has over 10 years of experience in the fields of cybersecurity, network administration, and information technology. He has supported both public and private organizations including Booz Allen Hamilton, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Department of Defense, and the Texas Association of Counties. Lucas spent two years in Russia as a teacher of English as a foreign language has a particular interest in Russian cyber threats directed at US information systems. Lucas has a Cisco - ICND, Microsoft - MCSA, VMWare - VCP, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications. Additionally, he has an M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University and B.A.s in English and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin.
