Questioning, Questioning, Questioning

Skilled questioners are intentional in their ability to scaffold questions in order to help the learner construct meaning. When coaches have a clear direction and know their audience well, they can determine what types of questions to ask as well as differentiate those questions for individuals. Examine the various forms of questioning (with an emphasis on Questions for Life and Learning) to lead others toward becoming proficient questioners who, in turn, are more responsive to student needs. Application of questioning skills and strategies in coaching conferences, professional development activities, and professional learning communities will be explored.

This program is built to provide you with high-quality knowledge, resources, and modeling along with personalized coaching to refine and apply coaching conferencing skills into your practice.

This course includes:

  • One personalized coaching session with an ESC Region 13 Instructional Coach to develop your desired outcomes for the course and debrief your insights from the live sessions, resource materials, and daily experiences at your school.
