When should young children start learning about STEAM?
The answer is NOW. It is never too early to start on a journey towards developmentally appropriate activities that make learning fun.
In this course, participants will learn how to use their students' natural curiosity about the world around them to build a fun foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.
Objectives:
- Develop an understanding of why STEAM is a natural and important part of the early childhood classroom.
- Provide examples of developmentally appropriate lessons that can be easily implemented in the classroom that integrate the Preschool Guidelines and TEKS into the STEAM experiences.
- Differentiating for many abilities within one STEAM experience.
- Inspire educators to playfully engage in STEAM activities with their students.
