Blueprint for Building a STEM Program (Downloadable PDF)
Newly updated for 2020! Blueprint for Building a STEM Program makes STEM a part of the classroom today! The purpose of this resource is to provide practical and strategic processes for STEMifying students’ learning experiences. This content is intended for teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders in student learning. The STEM Foundations Road Map included in this resource serves as a basis for establishing a common language, vision, and pathway toward strategic implementation of a STEM program and STEMified learning. For students to achieve success in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), teachers and administrators alike must provide a bridge that aligns with student's path into higher education, and then into the industry. The key element of STEM learning is the integration of the four core subjects into larger, cross-disciplinary projects that train students to solve problems and gain practical insights. This book will show you how to organize and deliver learning experiences that will enable students to understand the connections within and between content areas, and see the real-world relevance of what they learn.
