Mindfulness is more than a breathing exercise. When combined with intentional movement and an understanding of the nervous system, mindfulness can become a powerful tool for healing, regulation, and personal growth. This engaging workshop explores the science behind mindfulness and examines how centuries-old practices align with current research in neurobiology and trauma-informed care.

Participants will investigate the relationship between the brain, body, and nervous system, gaining a deeper understanding of how mindfulness influences emotional regulation, stress response, and overall well-being. The session also explores the connections between nature, movement, geometry, and embodied awareness, offering fresh perspectives on how individuals experience and respond to the world around them.

Through experiential learning and practical application, attendees will discover innovative mindfulness techniques designed to deepen personal practice and strengthen interventions used with students. Emphasis is placed on strategies that support trauma-informed environments, increase presence and self-awareness, and foster resilience in both educators and learners.
