School safety is a high priority in our country. It is a major issue for school districts, parents, communities, and local and federal governments. Safe and secure campuses are essential for student learning. Feeling safe in the classroom helps children succeed in their academics to have a successful future.
At ESC Region 13, opportunities are available to help districts and charters to become safer places. On-going support, consultation, and training (i.e., Emergency Operation Plans, CRASE training, Psychological First Aid Training, Suicide Prevention Training, Behavioral Threat Assessment Training), up-to-date information, resources, and safety audits are available. ESC Region 13’s goal is to improve all aspects of the district and campus security.
