The Region 13 Elementary Certification Program trains and supports future teachers pursuing Early Childhood (EC) – Grade 6 certification who are passionate about shaping young learners’ academic and social development during their most formative years. This program is for individuals seeking certification in Elementary Core Subjects EC–6, ESL, Bilingual, or Special Education.
Offered statewide, our programs combine flexibility with strong support to help you transition successfully into the classroom. With multiple learning formats—including structured in-person cohorts and fully online cohorts—you can choose the option that best fits your schedule and learning style.
As a participant, you’ll join a community of aspiring educators committed to creating meaningful, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences for all students.
Our rigorous yet supportive curriculum prepares you for the realities of teaching. You’ll receive focused preparation for the TExES certification exam, gain training in research-based instructional practices, and engage with curriculum aligned to the Texas Teacher Standards. We also help you build reflective habits to continue growing as an educator well beyond your first year in the classroom.
