Supporting Early Childhood Special Education

Our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) specialists are dedicated to promoting best practices, training and on site support in early childhood settings for teacher and administrators working with three to five-year-old children with disabilities.

The mission of ECSE is to promote an understanding of the importance of intervention during the most critical developmental years of a child’s life while providing for their communicative, academic, cognitive and social success in the least restrictive setting.

We provide Early Childhood Special Education services and supports to help programs move children closer to age-expected functioning by looking at integrated behaviors or skills that allow the child to achieve functional outcomes across domains and situations. We address three main objectives: positive social-emotional skills, acquisition and use of knowledge and skills and use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs.
