The PAX Good Behavior Game (PAX GBG) provides classroom based strategies to educators and staff to implement evidence-based Kernels to decrease problematic behavior, improve academic performance, & increase student engagement. PAX GBG is not a set of lessons or a curriculum, but strategies teachers use throughout their day to build students’ behavioral skills and stamina for focused attention and on-task behavior.
Longitudinal research by Johns Hopkins University has shown that students who received PAX Good Behavior Game are more likely to experience success in school and have significantly improved lifetime outcomes.
PAX trainings are grant sponsored so training and classroom materials are free to anyone working in Texas.
What is the PAX Good Behavior Game?
The PAX Good Behavior Game® (PAX GBG) is a classroom-based, preventative intervention designed to help students develop essential self-regulation skills. Unlike a traditional curriculum or set of lessons, PAX GBG empowers educators with practical strategies that they can integrate into their daily routines to promote focused attention, on-task behavior, and positive classroom dynamics. By teaching students to manage their own behavior, PAX GBG fosters a healthier learning environment that benefits both academic performance and social-emotional development.
Long-term research by Johns Hopkins University shows that students who participate in the PAX Good Behavior Game are more likely to experience school success and enjoy significantly improved lifetime outcomes, including better mental and physical health.
