The Best First Tier I Instruction Facilitator Program is designed for schools and districts that want to build internal capacity for delivering professional development and supporting consistent implementation of best first instruction practices. Facilitators use McREL presentation and participant materials to guide educator learning, strengthen Tier I instructional practice, and support sustainable implementation across campuses or districts.

$1,500 per year per facilitator Participant materials are purchased separately from the McREL bookstore.

Format

The facilitator model supports a multi-year certification process that prepares internal facilitators to deliver McREL’s Classroom Instruction That Works professional learning sessions and remain current through ongoing refresh opportunities.

  1. Year 1: Attend three McREL online Classroom Instruction That Works sessions:

    2. Helping Students Focus and Make Sense of Their Learning
    3. Helping Students Extend and Apply Their Learning
  1. Year 2 and beyond:
    1. Attend refresh sessions provided by McREL with updates and information on newly released materials.
