Kindergarten classrooms are increasingly serving students with significant behavioral, developmental, and regulatory needs that can disrupt instruction and impact classroom safety. This session equips educators with developmentally appropriate strategies to prevent, understand, and respond to extreme early childhood behaviors while maintaining a positive learning environment. Participants will explore the connection between brain development, skill deficits, and behavior, while learning proactive classroom structures, regulation supports, and response strategies designed specifically for young learners. Emphasis will be placed on prevention, early intervention, and supporting both student success and teacher sustainability.
