This training is designed to support an understanding of transition services in the law (Federal and State) and how to address transition in the IEP, including specifics related to common IEP vendors/software systems being used across the state of Texas such as Frontline (Special Education Management (formerly known as eSped or eSTAR), Plan Management, SuccessEd) SameGoal, and EmbraceIEP.

Within this training, participants will review compliance considerations for transition in the IEP from questions found in the Transition area of the Texas Education Agency’s Cyclical Review Guide (desk review questions) and in the Data Collection Guidance for Secondary Transition State Performance Plan Indicator 13 (SPPI-13) guidance document.

This training will conclude with participants taking on a self-audit of the transition section/supplement of an existing IEP using the knowledge gained today about transition in the IEP, and provide time for discussion in regards to takeaways from this activity.
