Join us for the fourth workshop of the 25-26 Mental Health Series for an in person, comprehensive, detailed, workshop on complex and often misunderstood topics of non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation.

This workshop is the second part of the first workshop facilitated in December 11, 2024.
Through in-depth discussions, interactive activities and scenarios, participants will gain a deeper understanding on developing and monitoring an effective safety plan, completing and facilitating screening and assessments, prevention, intervention and postvention logistics and strategies and planning.
Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals struggling with these issues and for those who want to better understand and support loved ones who may be experiencing them.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation, including prevalence rates, contributing factors, and common misconceptions.
- Recognize the warning signs and risk factors associated with these behaviors, as well as the different forms they can take.
- Explore effective coping mechanisms and strategies for breaking the cycle of self-injury and managing suicidal thoughts.
- Learn how to provide support and assistance to those who may be struggling with these issues, including how to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment.
- Develop a personal action plan for addressing and managing non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal ideation in a healthy and productive way.
