Join ESC Region 13 for the third of four hybrid trainings dedicated to Title I, Part A, Parent and Family Engagement (PFE). This session provides educational organizations, school leaders, and district personnel with advanced tools and strategies to strengthen their engagement with parents and families.

What You Will Learn:

Participants will explore the essential elements of capacity building under ESSA, including:

  • Capacity Building Requirements: Understand what is required to effectively build capacity for parent and family engagement.
  • Guiding Principles: Learn the principles that drive successful capacity building efforts and how they integrate with PFE policies.
  • Training Opportunities: Identify potential training opportunities for parents to enhance their involvement and support.
  • Parental Rights and Best Practices: Explore parental rights and participate in a Best Practice Expo to discover innovative approaches to engagement.
  • New Resources: Gain access to new resources focused on improving PFE.

Who Should Attend:

We recommend a team of key stakeholders involved in Parent and Family Engagement from both your LEA/district and campus levels. This could include federal programs staff, central office PFE staff, principals, campus PFE staff, parent liaisons, truancy coordinators, counselors, and superintendents.
