Hands-on tools can deepen understanding and support fluency in number and operations from Kindergarten through Grade 5. In this session, we’ll explore how concrete models—such as base-ten blocks, number lines, rekenreks, and more—can be used to build procedural fluency rooted in conceptual understanding.
