Reading by Design offers a systematic, multisensory approach to literacy intervention to enhance reading and writing skills for students across all grade levels. This comprehensive program is grounded in research-based practices and provides an intensive, explicit, and cumulative framework for effective remediation of literacy challenges, including dyslexia.
Course Overview:
This workshop introduces participants to the core components of the Reading by Design program, which is meticulously crafted to address key areas of literacy development:
- Phonological Awareness: Develop students' ability to recognize and manipulate sounds in spoken language.
- Sound-Symbol Association: Teach the connection between sounds and their corresponding symbols to support decoding and encoding skills.
