This training will provide educators with information to develop postsecondary goals that meet compliance and promote student involvement in transition planning.

Topics include:

  • Basics of postsecondary goals (including a simple formula for writing postsecondary goals that are appropriate and measurable);
  • Exploration of the three types of postsecondary goals: training/education, employment, and independent living; and,
  • An opportunity to apply your learning by considering postsecondary goals for students with different strengths, interests, and support needs

Participants in the Highlights of Writing Appropriate Measurable Postsecondary Goals training will be eligible for a free follow-up opportunity with the ESC Region 13 Transition Specialist for any of the topics covered in this training. Please contact Chris Nelson for more information about this follow-up opportunity.
