Overview

The Teacher Incentive Allotment facilitators at Education Service Center Region 13 provide ongoing guidance and support to districts as they work to successfully develop and submit their TIA plans to the Texas Education Association. These services are provided free-of-charge to districts in the Region 13 service area.

What ESC Region 13 Offers

  • Create a plan of support tailored to the needs of individual districts.
  • Collaborate with the TIA contact for the district and his/her representative(s) throughout the TIA planning process.
  • Maintain an open, on-going dialogue with the TIA contact throughout the planning process.
  • Support the relationship between the campus staff, district staff and ESC 13.
  • Work with the district as needed to schedule and facilitate regular meetings with the district TIA planning team including, but not limited to:
    • Discussions around the decisions made, and work done, by the committee on specific tasks related to the TIA plan and application.
    • All TIA-related requests and questions that arise, such as clarifying next steps for the district TIA planning, both on a cadence of scheduled meetings, and on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide professional development for TIA team members in the form of 1-2 hour workshops and/or facilitated discussions with other district TIA leads.
  • Assist in the fine-tuning of the district’s TIA application by offering timely feedback and guidance.
  • Write a final report outlining the district’s TIA Plan once it has been approved by TEA.
