This course is designed to help educators better understand syllabication and morphology. Participants will explore each syllable type and morphological concept in depth, learning how to identify, teach, and reinforce these fundamental building blocks of English phonics and word structure.
Why is this important:
- Understanding syllables is vital for literacy because it forms the foundation of reading and spelling. Learning key foundational literacy concepts like phonics, syllable division, phonological awareness, and decoding rely on a solid grasp of syllables.
