Empowering Effective Mathematics Instruction for Grades K-5

The TEA Math Academy is designed to implement research-based mathematics achievement strategies for Kindergarten through grade 5. Its primary goal is to enhance teachers' knowledge and skills, enabling them to effectively teach students in the primary elementary grades and promote mathematical proficiency. By attending the academies, teachers will deepen their understanding of research-based instructional practices and gain valuable tools to develop problem-solving skills, nurture number sense, and foster fluency among their students.

Eligibility and Stipend Information

To participate in the TEA Math Academy, teachers must provide mathematics instruction directly to students within Region 13 districts in the appropriate grade level of the academy they attend. Teachers who provide direct instruction include classroom teachers, special education teachers, and interventionists.

If you have attended ANY three-day math academy during the summers of 2016-2023 and received a $350 stipend, you will not be eligible for another stipend.
