Welcome to the RTI Meets MTSS Network Meetings! Our network provides an opportunity for Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) personnel to gather, collaborate, and build stronger systems of support. Each meeting will include essential updates on the latest in RTI and MTSS practices, informative presentations, focused discussions, and collaborative sessions where participants can share insights and ideas with peers. Together, we’re advancing efforts to enhance student success through targeted, evidence-based approaches.

What is MTSS?

MTSS is a comprehensive framework that provides academic, behavioral, and mental health support for every student. MTSS serves as an umbrella framework encompassing various support systems, including:

  • RTI: A tiered approach focusing on early identification and support for students with learning and behavior needs.
  • Data-Based Individualization (DBI): A method of adapting interventions through ongoing data analysis to address unique student needs.
  • Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS): A proactive system that fosters positive behavior in schools.

By connecting these components, MTSS ensures a well-rounded, equitable approach that promotes growth and well-being for all students, meeting their academic, behavioral, and emotional needs at every level.
