New Science TEKS Video Series
The New Science TEKS Video Series offers an insightful overview of updates to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Science. Adopted by the State Board of Education in 2021, the current Science TEKS includes an Introduction, Scientific and Engineering Practices, Recurring Themes and Concepts, and Content. These updated standards are being implemented in Texas classrooms during the 2024-2025 school year.
This video series focuses on key changes to the Science TEKS and their impact across specific grade bands. By watching, educators can gain a better understanding of the revised standards, explore how the new practices and concepts enhance science instruction, and prepare to align their teaching with these expectations.
