ACE 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC)
The ACE 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) program provides opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities that provide students attending low performing schools with access to academic enrichment and other activities that are specifically designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program to help students meet the challenging state academic standards. The program provides families of participating students with active and meaningful engagement in their children’s education as well as opportunities for adult literacy.
Purpose:
- Provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours.
- The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
- This is an academic grant with the expectation to provide strategic, intentional programming that will become a valuable component of the school’s efforts to meet or exceed state academic standards.
