Regardless of your program model, Content Based Language Instruction is a necessary element to any strong program developed for Emergent Bilingual students. With helpful strategies and student scenarios, we can cover any and all of the components of CBLI to fit your campus needs. Our CBLI training provides an overview of second language acquisition theory, interaction strategies, proven vocabulary activities and processes, methods to identify and utilize prior knowledge as a resource for learning, and methods to differentiate both instruction and assessments to ensure Emergent Bilinguals are able to learn content while acquiring English skills. Participants get the opportunity to explore methods and strategies while applying them to real-world learning situations and students.
