Join us for the first workshop of the 25-26 Mental Health Series presented by Dr. Stephanie Miller.
We will be discussing and defining neurodivergence, including cognitive differences, strengths and challenges experienced by neurodivergent individuals.

Learning Objectives:
- Identify the signs and symptoms of neurodivergence to better understand its impact on student behavior and learning.
- Differentiate between behavior patterns associated with neurodivergence, trauma, and typical misbehavior to ensure accurate responses and interventions.
- Understand the ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Questionnaire and its relevance in identifying and addressing trauma in students.
- Explain the concept of the Window of Tolerance and how it relates to a student’s capacity for learning and self-regulation.
- Learn strategies for maintaining the Window of Tolerance to create a supportive and productive learning environment.
- Apply effective classroom Do’s and Don’ts when working with students affected by neurodivergence, trauma, or behavioral challenges.
