CACFP Participant Enrollment & Eligibility

This course delves into Handbook Sections 4200 and 4310, focusing on participant eligibility and enrollment requirements for free and reduced-price meals under the CACFP.

Participants will:

• Learn the enrollment requirements for operating CACFP programs.
• Understand the criteria for determining free and reduced-price eligibility.
• Master the process of completing appropriate enrollment forms for both adults and children.

This session equips attendees with the knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with CACFP eligibility and enrollment guidelines, supporting equitable access to nutrition programs.

• $50 Registration Fee: Due to updated guidance from TDA, a $50.00 registration fee applies only to FSMC and vended meal company employees.

Registration Details and Instructions

ESC Region 13 Child Nutrition training classes are designed to support district staff operating Child Nutrition Programs with essential professional development.

• Each district may include one food service management company (FSMC) employee as long as they attend with the district staff member responsible for contract oversight.
• FSMC Fee: FSMC attendees must pay a $50 registration fee. This expense cannot be charged to the nonprofit school lunch program or covered using federal nutrition funds.
• District Staff: District employees may attend all Child Nutrition training classes without restrictions or fees. Use the discount code DISTRICTSTAFF during registration to waive the fee.
