Together, we will dive into TEA requirements and recommendations and explore age-appropriate teaching practices and supportive environments that foster pre-literacy skills. Through shared experiences and interactive activities, you will gain valuable insight on how to support teachers as they dive into the world of early literacy.

- Understand the current TEA regulations and recommendations for Early Childhood (EC) programs including developmentally appropriate practice.
- Identify age-appropriate teaching practices and classroom strategies to create a language rich learning environment for young children.
- Discuss common misconceptions surrounding teaching literacy to young children.
- Explore various hands-on literacy rich activities to help you support implementation on your campus.
- Gain practical tips and resources for implementing effective literacy instruction and promoting Kinder readiness within your EC program.
