Join us for an in-depth workshop designed to help district staff at all levels—administrative, instructional, and support—gain a clear understanding of the Migrant Education Program (MEP). This comprehensive session covers key components of identifying and recruiting migratory students, meeting data collection requirements, and prioritizing services to ensure students and families receive the support they need.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is open to all districts, including both SSA member districts and non-SSA districts interested in learning more about MEP and Title I, Part C program requirements.

  • For SSA Member Districts:
    This session will fulfill your required beginning-of-year Migrant Education training, providing important updates, guidance, and tools to help you start the year strong.

  • For Non-SSA Districts:
    Even if you currently have no identified migratory students, this workshop will equip you with essential knowledge to:

    • Recognize and identify potential migratory students

    • Understand eligibility and recruitment processes

    • Explore collaboration opportunities with Region 13

    • Access valuable program resources

    • Build awareness of best practices to support migratory students when they arrive
