Emergent Bilingual students who are new to the country often need specialized support through newcomer programs to help them acquire and understand the English language while they adjust socially and culturally to their new environment. Our Multilingual Team specialists support your teachers and administration in the classroom and at the programmatic level, helping you consider and plan for everything your newcomers need to be successful.
We'll work with your teachers to design specific instruction that supports newcomer Emergent Bilinguals as they focus on the task of learning content and acquiring English. We'll provide strategies and activities specific to their needs at the beginning and intermediate levels of English proficiency. We'll also help districts and campuses think through the necessary logistics of providing the most effective newcomer program that supports the success of all of their students.
