Newcomer Support

English learners who are new to the country often need specialized support through newcomer programs to help them acquire and understand the English language while they adjust socially and culturally to their new environment. Our bilingual and ESL specialists support your teachers and administration from the classroom all the way to the programmatic level, while helping you consider and plan for everything your newcomers need to be successful.

We'll work with your teachers to design specific instruction that supports newcomer English learners as they focus on the double task of learning content and acquiring English. We'll provide strategies and activities specific to their needs at the beginning and intermediate levels of English proficiency. We'll also help districts and campuses think through the necessary logistics of providing the most effective newcomer program that supports the success of all of their students.
