Our Assistive Technology Specialists offer consultation and support to campus and district staff who have student-specific questions on everything from assistive technology assessment to classroom organization.
Student-specific support might include helping a team plan for and complete an appropriate assistive technology assessment, problem-solving how to access the curriculum when a student isn’t reading on level, assisting with student-specific progress monitoring measures, and identifying allowable STAAR accommodations, etc.
Instructional or classroom support might include helping a team with classroom organization, engineering the classroom for modeling symbolic communication, updating instructional routines and accessible materials, and more.
