A Yearlong Learning Experience for School Counselors
A yearlong professional learning experience designed to strengthen comprehensive school counseling programs and support multidisciplinary student support teams. Grounded in the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and aligned to the Effective Schools Framework, this cooperative provides practical, relevant learning school counselors can immediately apply on their campuses.
Designed for school counselors, campus advisors, student support liaisons, school-based therapists, and counseling and mental health support staff, participants engage in a combination of in-person and virtual workshops focused on:
- Guidance Curriculum
- Individual Planning
- Responsive Services
- System Support
Topics include legal and ethical practice, Tier 2 supports, responsive services, emerging trends such as AI, and strategies that strengthen student outcomes and campus support systems. Participants gain actionable tools, timely updates, and opportunities to collaborate with peers across the region throughout the school year.

Districts who join the School Counselor Cooperative receive access to the full series of in person and virtual workshops at a reduced cost compared to individual registrations, providing a cost-efficient, streamlined approach to yearlong professional learning. Membership also includes access to our popular GROW with Creative Techniques Conference, along with Continuing Education (CE) hours for licensed mental health professionals and standard CPE credits for all educators.
