Join Region 13 ESC and the Local Mental Health Authorities throughout the region for the virtual blended course of Youth Mental Health First Aid (from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing). This is a proactive course that is incredibly helpful for anyone who works with students of all ages! This course also meets the HB3 requirement for school districts.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Basic knowledge and skills of identifying and supporting students through a mental health crisis
  • Substance use prevention strategies
  • Warning signs of a student struggling suicidal thoughts

Important Registration Information:

Don’t wait—register now! Registration closes approximately two weeks before the training date to allow participants time to complete the required pre-work.

  • Once you register for YMHFA in e-campus, your registration is not done yet!
  • Make sure you keep an eye out for an EMAIL from one of our Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) trainers, followed by an INVITATION from Connect (the YMHFA platform) to register.
  • Please accept the invitation and log in to Connect.
  • “Connect” is where you will complete the pre-work needed to attend the course online.
